Located in the heart of downtown Camden, the Bean House Apartment is housed in a meticulously restored former shipbuilder’s home. Victorian in style, the house was built in 1863 and is decorated in a traditional style. Off street parking and a veranda add to the amenities. The Camden Public Library is across the street and all downtown Camden has to offer is within walking distance from the Bean Apartment. The interior is ornate with intricate woodwork and a gracious staircase. The Bean Apartment is located on the second floor.
The front entrance opens into a classically appointed living room, with original fireplace. Straight ahead is the full bathroom with clawfoot tub, and warm wood paneling. The shower is located within the clawfoot tub. Back in the living room and to the right is a hallway leading to the master bedroom with queen size bed. Down the hallway is the kitchen with eat in seating for four and the back entrance. The decor is in keeping with the Victorian style of the home. There is a shared washer and dryer in the basement of the building.
