True lakeside atmosphere on popular Megunticook Lake, Becker Cottage is just four miles to downtown Camden’s shops and restaurants. Two hundred feet of shore frontage and faces Nature Conservancy land. Great sunsets, swimming, boating and nearby hiking. Close to road so some traffic noise can be expected. Canoe provided; also ramp and float.
One story, comfortable 80 year old lakeside cottage. Porch with lake view. Basic camp style furnishings.
Enter from porch into open living/dining area with cathedral ceiling and fieldstone fireplace. Small, basic galley kitchen. Three bedrooms: master with queen bed and ensuite bath (T/S); double room and two single beds in third bedroom. Hallway bath with shower only.
1. Guests should bring bottled water for drinking. Cottage water comes from the lake. 2. No cable tv, just a monitor and VCR. To preserve the serenity of the environment, the owner has requested man-powered boats only (kayaks, canoes, row boats).
“We have rented this house for many summers and will continue to do so. The house is clean; location excellent and we can relax and enjoy the mountains and tranquil cove.”
“Loved the lake views; listening to the loons and the cottage’s close proximity to Maine attractions.” L.F. 2017
