The house is beautifully landscaped with rock gardens and there is also a firepit within a boulder garden. From Walker House, the Village of Rockport is easily accessed. Rockport Village includes delicious, award-winning restaurants and art galleries. The famed Belted Galloways at Aldermere Farm are within walking distance of Walker House.
Walker House is a shingled cottage with classic lines which nestles into its harbor location with views of the inner harbor. A large deck spans the water side of the house with dining furniture and gas grill.
Enter the house through the Sea Street door and you enter into the formal hall and entryway. The four bedrooms and 2 full baths are located on this 1st floor and each bedroom can be accessed from the foyer. Bedrooms # 1 and # 2 share a bath; # 3 and # 4 share the other bath. The washer and dryer are also located in this floor. Each room is thoughtfully decorated and comfortably appointed.
The stairway leads to the lovely air conditioned second floor with 18 foot cathedral ceilings, open floor plan and harbor views. The gourmet kitchen has been featured on the local kitchen tour and in Better Homes and Gardens magazine. State of the art kitchen appliances make cooking a wonderful event. The living room sitting area faces the water views and has a piano and also a wood stove. The dining area is located off of the kitchen. This exceptional home is filled with stunning art, comfortable and classic furniture, and beautiful details. Another bath with shower is situated at the top of the stairway from the 1st floor.
